There are many choices out there for your laser resurfacing needs so it is important to do your research before having your procedure. Fraxel laser as many people are now familiar with, is a great procedure still but the fractional laser resurfacing devices are the way of the future. Fractional C02 laser devices offer a great alternative to the traditional C02 resurfacing devices. The down time experienced with the new fractional devices are 1/3 of what the traditional devices provide. This along with the incredible results provide every patient a great return on their investment. Now with that being said, that are numerous lasers now on the market claiming to do the same thing. On the laser device page there is a brief overview of the new fractional C02 devices. There are things to consider that are not included on this overview including the real downtime that you can expect to experience with each procedure.
If you have a specific question about one of the lasers feel free to visit our site http://cosmeticdermatology.net and ask the dermatologist near you your question.
There are a lot of great physicians out there who can provide valuable insight into your best options, you should just make sure that you are being advised by a board certified dermatologist. They are the specialists and truly are the only physicians with the training to recommend the proper treatment.

I recently had the fraxel laser procedure and have to say that i was not so impressed with the results. I know that traditionally you need to have 3-5 treatments before seeing results so I am willing to have more but has anyone had the same experience with a positive outcome. The office here in Miami also has the Fractional C02 Laser by Ellipse and they said that I can try it if I do not see the results with the Fraxel.
I am traveling to New York and was curious if there is anyone up there that I should see for Fraxel or the Fractional C02 Laser. Has anyone seen the results of a Fractional Laser procedure?
I also had botox a couple months ago when I was in orlando Florida and the doctor said that laser procedures would be fine in conjunction with this but the dermatologist that i recently visited in Miami said that i need to space out the procedures?? Which is it?? If you cant tell, i am addicted to cosmetic procedures and would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Nancy
I think that the dermatologist in Miami was correct, it is appropriate to have some time in between botox and your laser procedure. A few weeks should suffice but you should listen to your dermatologist. Fraxel laser is a great procedure and I would have to say that whether or not it is best for you depends largely on what you are treating. Is this for Acne scars, wrinkles, melasma? Fraxel and Fractional C02 are both great lasers but you should be sure to consult with your dermatologist to see which procedure is best for you.
