The DeepFX Difference

The DeepFX allows unlike the traditional co2 affords physicians the opportunity to penetrate deep into the dermis creating collagen reformation while limiting downtime.  The traditional Co2 treated deep but you had the 4-10 week wait time, with this you are only looking at 7-10 days.  You are getting the maximum benefit with minimum downtime.  The DeepFX is a great laser and provides new ways to deliver the fractional c02 laser technology.

The first CO2 lasers delivered energy in continuous waves. These lasers could not produce very high peak powers for sustained periods so had limited pulse energy. As a result charring often occurred when attempting to resurface tissue with practical spot sizes.

240 Watts of power allows the Ultrapulse to treat with safe and effective pulse durations that are less than 1 millisecond.

UltraPulse fractional laser treatments were introduced to optimize outcomes and downtime. The introduction of ActiveFX™ and DeepFX™—the first fractional CO2 treatments available—reduced downtime and provided dramatic results. Both procedures require only one system, one pass and one treatment.

“The thermal relaxation time of pulse CO2 laser heated tissue is about 0.8 ms.  In effect, for the CO2 laser wavelength, we must deliver the necessary 5 j/cm2 in at most, a 0.8 ms pulse, preferably less, if we expect to minimize injury to the underlying tissue.”
